Coldplay allows new album to stream on Spotify

Now that they’ve sold more than a million copies in the U.S. of their 2011 fifth album, Mylo Xyloto, Coldplay has given into popular demand and begun streaming the album at Spotify.

Until now, the British quartet has not allowed this or any of its albums to appear on Spotify or any streaming sites.

Now it’s popped up on the Rdio streaming site as well as Spotify.

Coldplay did not explain their initial decision to avoid streaming sites in the first place, which acts like the Black Keys and Adele have also skipped.

The Keys told VH1 that they felt streaming sites were unfair to both artists and fans.
